Video! President Obama in his now infamous February 2, 2009 interview on the Today Show with Matt Lauer said that he “will be held accountable”. He added that if he didn’t get the economy going that it’s, “going to be a one term proposition”.
What happened to his accountability? What happened to solving the economic crisis in the United States? What was his excuse? It was, “this big, tough, messy, democracy” of course!

Matt Lauer: “At some point, will you say, ‘Wait a minute – we’ve spent this amount of money, but we’re not seeing results, we’ve got to change course dramatically’?”
Obama: “…I will be held accountable. Huh, I’ve got four years. I think a year from now, huh, I think that people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but… If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”
